Daily Wear

Some beautiful things to wear on a lovely, but chilly Sunday.

A Little More Vintage Love

There is nothing I love more than a good trip down the lane of vintage fashion.
If you agree, this Polyvore collection was absolutely amazing!

This blue grecian dress is my favorite!!

Gorgeousness Ahoy!

This 1860s Lapis Intaglio Signet Ring is so gorgeous.
The price tag is a bit high, but completely worth it.

Vintage Vamp

This year I am looking for the perfect, vintage inspired swimsuit.
I think I've found exactly what I'm look for at Jantzen.

Pretty Woman

Do you ever see people on the street who are so striking that you wish for just one second you could trade them places to see how it feels to be so pretty?
I saw this photo and definitely felt I wouldn't mind trading her places for a day.

A Bibliophile's Nightmare

J.D. Salinger iconic author of "Catcher in the Rye" passed away today in his home in New Hampshire at the age of 91. As "Catcher" is an all time favorite, I have only to say "Pass the damn ham."

Fabulous Forever

Perhaps its just me, but it seems that Forever21 has been really killing it lately. The styles are fresh but accessible and still under budget.

I don't know where I'd wear this cream confection but I think I am in utter and complete love.

My Little Book in a Book

Macbook users are often accused of treating their Macbook more like a child than a laptop. As I definitely find myself guilty of this insinuation, I have to say, I am drooling over Bookbook. Is this not the most beautiful way to disguise, or hold, a laptop, ever?

Scooter in the Air

Here in Utah, it stays pretty darn cold till perhaps Mid-May. But the sun is peeking through the clouds today and making me smell Spring and miss my sweet little scooter.

SAG Awards Loveliness

Everyone keeps ooohhing and awwwing over Kate Hudson's backless white wonder. Personally, I don't care about the back if the front of your dress bores me to death.
That said, I've picked my two favorites!
Toni Collett in a gorgeous Grecian/Victorian ruffled dress that I cannot seem to google, but I'm working on it. I think I might need to pattern out a replica of this gorgeousness.
And Sandra Bollock in Alexander McQueen. It even is lovely with shoulder pads!

Royal de Luxe

Each October in Berlin the Royal de Luxe theatre company puts on an outdoor festival for three days using, instead of people, gigantic lifelike puppets. Each puppet requires 30 + people to move. This past October, it was the story of a deep sea diver and his lost daughter who are reunited in Berlin. I am in complete awe. This definitely goes on my, see before you die list.

Pretty Pretty Pictures

While I love love love the Satoralist, I think I love his lady love Garance Dore more. Not only is she a photographer, but an illustrator, and so undeniably French it's perfection.
These two travel the world taking pictures of people and places that inspire them. Most recently they have been in Rio and the colors in their photos are absolutely transporting. Enjoy.

10 of Each Please

I just discovered that Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere is the artist behind these much blogged about pieces of gorgeousness. I had no idea. And while her etsy site is currently sold out.
I plan to purchase at least a necklace as soon as I can!

Can't Judge a Bookstore

This is El Ataneo(Grand Splendid) in Buenos Aires. I discovered this amazing building, and these amazing photographs thanks to Alkemie. Originally, this was a theatre built in 1919, which rather than demolishing when out of use became a bookstore.

Even the front is amazing.
The stage became the cafe and lounge area.
I have to say, my little Barnes and Noble around the corner doesn't even compare.

Mad Fashion

If you already know me, then you are well aware of my obsession with the show Mad Men.

I keep pictures of Joan and Peggy at my desk where only I can see them. It helps me smile during the work day. I watched a golden globes preview just to catch glimpses of the girls.

Elisabeth Moss killed it. Especially since there are rumors she's preggers.
This dress is lovely.
This isn't my favorite thing January Jones has worn in public.
That said, she'd look amazing in a paper sack.

And to my favorite, Christina Henricks. She's GORGEOUS, literally flawless.
But this dress looks like one of the yucky sherberts in the Baskin Robbins case, you know the "healthy" sherbert no one ever eats? Yep, she made a dress out of it.
