Simplicity
I find that the jewelry I wear the most (despire have a chestfull of pieces) is always the most simple. I am so pleased to have discovered Jess LC - as she obviously understands this principle. I am currently loving this bracelet from her most recent "Diversity" collection.

Puppy Dog in a Wagon
The Fairest Fair Isle of Them All?
I love Old Navy. Sadly, so little there ever fits me. I guess my body is just too oddly shaped for the brand. That said, I have been looking for the perfect Fair Isle sweater, and Old Navy just put out the prettiest (and most afforadable) sweater I've seen in ages! They have white and gray, I'm definitely a gray girl, and taking my lunch hour to purchase this gorgeous piece!

Delicious Little KnockOffs
Obviously, I could never afford anything at Chanel. While I worship every piece from every show and drool over their store fronts, socks at Chanel cost as much as my monthly mortgage payment, so a pair of shoes from the design house is out of the question. That did not stop me, however, from nearly wetting myself in pleasure over these...
Image courtesy of Sea of Shoes SO! I set about a search for the perfect pair of knockoffs. And while it was near impossible, I found a very Blair Waldorf pair I could actually wear to work. (Ebay, of course, came through for me.) Sadly, the seller was in Hong Kong, which meant in purchasing the shoes I was possibly encouraging the ensalvement of children for pennies a day to make shoes for stupid, rich Americans. I thought about this, I really did, for a couple seconds before I hit "Buy Now" and $30 and a couple weeks later these arrived...

Book Report
I cannot wait to pick up Miss Dahl's (grand daughter of one Roald Dahl) new cookbook "Volutous Delights". Not only do the pictures look dreamy but the recipes are amazing with all natural ingredients to make amazing dishes.
“There is something deeply joyless about restriction. Its self-inflicted misery. Starving isn’t sexy. What’s sexy is a healthy appreciation for food. There is no secret code to crack: it’s all about moderation and balance. It’s about portion control and eating food as close as possible to its natural form.” - Sophie Dahl

Crickey! It's a Gator
I love me some alligators and crocodiles! And not just as shoes and handbags, I actually adore these animals. So vicious and yet so adorable as babies - just like people.

This gorgeous ring from Forever21 must be mine.

OOOOHHHH Sparkles
Once I finish sewing Halloween costumes I have two JCrew based projects to work on. First up, these pants $650 at the JCrew. And they are FABULOUS. I'm sure I can make a similiar version for considerably less.
Next, this skirt, $275 at JCrew. I love the burnt gold color, and think I can make a remarkable knock-off that is relatively the same.

Um, What?
Miss Selfridge just put out a Gossip Girl inspired line. I have to say, I am not impressed, nor do I think that whoever Miss Selfridge's designers are are watching the same show I am. These pieces are uninspired, overpriced and hardly reflective of the show at all.

Your thoughts?

Cat's Eyes and Feathers?
As I am currently trying to loose some major poundage before my friend Dawn-Marie's May 2011 wedding, I've been staving off purchasing new clothes in the hopes that I won't be this same size in a month or two. This has reignited my love of ASOS accessories (the very best). I'm currently drooling over this clutch and these sunglasses.

Miss LC Too?
When the Olsen Twins put out their coffee table style inspiration book I couldn't have been less excited. If I want to learn how to dress like a fur clad hobo I'll just go downtown for inspiration. But LC? The Lauren Conrad, the mother of all reality-tv-star-turned-legimate-business-owners? Yes. I can get onboard with that! Behold "Style" LC's third book - out October 5th.
And just in case you are an LC groupie like me. InStyle has provided a sneak peek at some of the looks.

P.S. Can You Make This?
Erica Domesek of P.S. I Made This is my personal hero. There is nothing this woman cannot concoct for less than $10. Her first book based on her amazing blog was just published and I came across a fabulous interview with her here.
Can You Believe It?
This adorable 1940's shrug cut, A-line piece of perfection is at WalMart for $22.00. Guess where I'm going tonight?

Sparkles and Fluff Anyone?
Can I Just Take One of Each?
Jonathan Saunders' Spring 2011 collection makes me so happy. It's both preppy and romantic with cuts that would flatter any body type. Though I've never followed his collection before, I'm officially a fan.

Glute Toning Trainers?
Long, long, story short, I need new trainers (tennis shoes, sneakers, whatever you may call them). While I seriously doubt a pair of shoes alone will make my bum tiny and perfect, I feel there isn't anything wrong with getting the right equipment to try, right? Here are the New Balance WW1100 Wellness Shoes. I love me some New Balance, and if these threaten to give my buns a better workout, I just might be suckered in.

Do You Rue?
I do! I do!
Rue Magazine finally hit the interwebs and it is even more fabulous than I expected.
They might give Lonny Mag a run for their money,
and it makes me miss Domino so very very much.
Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow?
I decided over the summer to try and grow out my bangs, I told myself I was going for more of a Lauren Conrad / super model look. Sadly, I finally realized that I do not have the bone structure for Giselle's hair. Instead I looked like an unwashed hippie no matter what I did, so this week I went to Got Beauty and begged them to class me back up!
BEFORE
(in the Got Beauty bathroom)
AFTER
(headed to work in my car)
Much better yes?Do You Clog?
Cause I do! After weeks of searching the intrawebs I stumbled across the single most perfect pair of clogs at my local Nordstrom Rack. They cost me my first born, but were worth every penny. They are Jeffrey Campbell Woodies and the leather is so creamy I feel completely spoiled and fabulous!
Mint Cream Anyone?
I have been lusting after some creamy green nail polish for weeks now. Sadly, where I live, its hard to come by anything on trend. We usually have to wait a couple months before the newest "thing" filters down to little old S.L.C. But then Dawn-Marie allowed me to go in on an order at E.L.F. with her. While I must be the last person on earth to know about E.L.F. I am so glad to be introduced! And their Mint Cream polish is perfection!
Are You In on the Conspiracy?
When Did That Happen?
I have always avoided Charlotte Russe like the plague. The store at our local mall looks more like a tornado whipped up a heap of clothes than an actual shop. So when some of my most trusted fashion bloggers started cropping up in Charlotte Russe pieces I decided to give the website a shot.
They were having an amazing sale (and still are here) so I picked up a couple pieces which were delivered yesterday and I have to say, I am blown away. The quality is super nice, the fit is perfect and the price was right. When did this happen?
I picked up this chambray shirt for a song and can't wait to wear it!

It's a Paraty
Okay, okay, I haven't updated in, um, forever. I'm sorry this side project fell by the wayside, but I'm back now and promise to be a more diligent.

But I think this is the perfect piece to come back with!
I am behind the times here, but just discovered the Chloe Paraty bag. DELICIOUS. How delightful is the rose color?
I'm desperate for one. That said, I might settle this a beautifully inspired version for only $50 here.

Head of Heels
I am so in love with these Fryre Jane Tall Cuff boots I could just die.
It's the first time in my life $388 sounded like so little.
I saw these on a woman outside my office and begged her to tell me where she got them. Sadly, the price tag is going to keep me from being their owner, but sigh...
